Pavers fade. It happens to almost every driveway out there - especially here in Arizona where the sun beats down year-round. What starts as a rich, warm tone slowly turns dull and washed out. Most homeowners assume that's just how it goes. It's not.
Here's what we were working with on this Wickenburg driveway: a full surface that had lost most of its original color depth. The pavers weren't damaged - they were just neglected and unprotected. That's actually the best-case scenario, because it means we can bring them all the way back.
We started with a deep pressure wash to strip out the dirt, grime, and anything else that had worked its way into the surface over the years. From there, it's all about proper prep - and that step matters more than most people realize. We stabilized the joint sand between each paver before applying two full coats of professional-grade sealer. That's what we call the Poseidon Finish. No shortcuts, no skipping steps.
The color difference is hard to ignore. The warm reddish-brown tone that was hiding under years of sun exposure and grime is fully back. On top of the restored look, that sealer is now doing real work - locking in the joint sand, repelling water and stains, and protecting the surface from further UV damage. That's the difference between a surface that looks good for a few weeks and one that holds up.
Paver sealing isn't just about aesthetics. It's one of the most cost-effective ways to protect what's already a significant investment in your property. If your driveway pavers are looking faded or dull, this is exactly the kind of work that brings them back - and keeps them there.
