These backyard pavers had seen better days. The color had faded out significantly, the surface looked dull, and the joint sand had broken down over time. It's a really common situation out here in Arizona - sun, heat, and general wear just beat pavers down year after year.
Here's what the full process looked like on this one. We started with a thorough cleaning to pull out all the built-up grime and debris from the surface and joints. Once everything was clean and prepped, we stabilized the joint sand before applying the sealer. That step matters a lot - without it, the joints stay loose and the whole surface is more vulnerable to shifting and weed intrusion.
The sealer we used brought the color and character of these pavers right back. The warm earthy tones - the reds, oranges, and deep browns - really popped once the sealer locked everything in. That's what a good residential paver sealing job does. It doesn't just protect the surface, it makes the whole space look like it was just installed.
A sealed paver surface is also just easier to maintain going forward. Dirt and debris sit on top instead of grinding into the surface, and the joint sand stays put. For a backyard patio that gets regular use, that kind of protection makes a real difference over time.
This is another Poseidon Finish right here in Wickenburg - and honestly, results like this are why we love doing this work. Pavers are an investment worth protecting.
